VP Environment – Jessica Cahyadi

My name is Jessica and I’m the VP Environment for this year (2011/20112). My duty is basically to raise awareness regarding the environment, especially water areas. I just got myself certified this summer in Alberta and judging by the excitement that I got when I got certified, I think it’s really fun to be able to dive, so I look forward to diving this year with the club.

VP External – Amanda Lai

Amanda is in her 2nd year undergraduate studies in Animal Biology.  She is interested in the program’s Marine Biology stream and aims to have a future career related with zoos, aquariums or conservation organizations.  Since Amanda is aiming for careers that require scuba diving, she started taking diving courses and was amazed by the underwater wildlife.  She got her Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue Diver certifications from her hometown, Hong Kong.

She holds this year’s VP External position and hopes to connect external organizations with the club to provide our members with more information on scuba diving related events.  This year, Amanda is looking forward to advance our club’s relationship with others to an international level.

VP Social – Eric Walper

I am a fourth year Science student with a focus in Immunology and Infection and would like to someday pursue a degree in either physiotherapy or Medicine. I am passionate about physical health and wellness and as a result spend too much time hitting the gym or working out with friends. Ironically, my biggest weakness in life is food and a good movie. I dont believe any real meal is complete without either bacon, cream or butter, so the fastest way to my heart is via Eggs Benedict. I love to be a complete child all the time and therefore I volunteer with Children with Autism; nothing better then rocking out Tae Kwon Do to kids.
